My last visit here will be my last visit ever. Went in to buy a washer and dryer. Found a set both I and my wife really liked and it was on sale. Found an associate told them we wanted to buy the set. We were told that the dryer was in stock but the washer was out of stock. We were not offered the floor model. Instead the sales associate tried to steer us to a different washer that was the same brand had a lower regular price than the machine on sale but because of the sale was currently actually priced higher. Mentioned this to the sales associate he said maybe it is let me double check but came back and told us it wasn't. I said to my wife out loud forget about this place let's go to Home Depot. The sales associate said nothing we left. After walking around outside for a few minutes to cool off. We decided to go back in and see if we could find a different machine/set we both liked. When the sales associate saw us he came up to us and said you know I can sell you the floor model if you want. We said okay did not ask for and were not offered a discount. He asked are you going to pick it up now. We asked can we get it delivered tomorrow (after all this is Lowe's with the ads that say free next day delivery on in stock appliances) He said he would have to check. Came back and told us the earliest we could get it delivered was in four days. We were shopping because our washer broke down so this was not acceptable. We left Lowe's came home, found the same set we originally wanted online at Home Depot. Ordered it had it delivered before Lowe's could deliver their in stock machine and paid less to top it off. This mostly bothers me because this Lowe's is less than 2 miles from home the nearest Home Depot is about 12 miles away. So now if I need to shop at a home improvement superstore I have to drive an extra 20 miles. But I hate cheap bait and switch tactics and liars so Lowe's is out.
Nice clean well organized home improvement store. Great for specialty needs that other big box improvement stores don't have. We also like the gardening section and it's bargain 1/2 price plants!

This Lowes is it or miss. I went to buy a chain saw. Picked out a model and even took a picture of the price the items we stacked at. The sales tag even said the description Poulan Pro 18" 42 cc. I continued shopping then went to check out with about 10 items total. The chainsaw came up $30 more. I pointed it out ans showed the price tag image from my phone. She got the head cashier who said correct the price. The cashier rang everything up and I was ready to pay. Then someone at customer service yelled over that I got that chain saw from an end cap in the front of the store. I said no I got it from the isle where all the chain saws and parts are. The cashier then held up the transaction. A few minutes later the department manager came over and was very curt. He said the saw you are buying is not the same product code. If you want that saw you will have to pay the $30 more. I showed him the image with the price. He said they didn't have anymore of the ones on sale and they filled the empty spot with those. I said how would I know that. Same brand, same description, same size, same cc motor? I then said fine I dont want any of these items I will go elsewhere. Then this "department manager" said good we dont need your business. At that point I asked him if he was the store manager with an attitude like that? He said no. I insisted on the store manager. Within a few minutes he came over and apologized. I bought the saw for the sale price listed. This isn't the first time I've ran into this rudeness there. The last time was over a gas grill. It just isn't worth the aggravation of dealing with them

Sunday at 330pm. Plenty of employees on hand. I am purchasing a 50 gallon eletric water heater that is 125lbs and requires a team lift according to the box. I pulled the box from its home location. I placed it infront of the L cart. Went and found someone to help me he then turns to another guy and says help her as he walks away from me with out a second glance..mind you I am unaware if he is busy however no other customers around. The guy slowly walks back weather it is his slow casual walk a normalcy or not I wait for him. We pick it up and place it on cart. He then walk off. Did not even ask if I needed further help or to the front much less to my car. Did not even bother to ask if I would be ok lifting the item. As stubborn as i am I lifted it anyway eventhough I have 4 messed up disc in my back. On way to front saw all the employees again what appeared to be standing in huddles. Once again not sure if helping someone or not. Get to the front.. cashier was awesome!! She called for help to carry out of course no one came up. I took it to my truck and thankfully it was on the cart the same height as tailgate. I lifted it a bit and pushed it up there. I brought cart back to store to tell them nevermind when one of the male cashier was coming out to help..eventhough they are not suppose to leave register as i underatand the reasoning why they can not. I will say extremely disappointed!!! How hard is it to ask and maybe have to walk all the way up front our forrbid to have to bring it to someone car. CHRIS speak to your employees about CUSTOMER SERVICE... Acknowledge and ask if need help or further help!!! I choose to go to your store. You will retain and gain customers just by asking. Simple.
Joe in plumbing is always so helpful. With Irma coming we had help in 3 other departments also that were just as pleasant!
